We do not own the song and other copyrighted songs. This song means different things to different people. Some just broke up, ending up alone and biting their tongues while their ex other half already found a new love replacement. To others, the song means the person's other half is on long trips or moved away and misses their love threatening to fade away. The part, "someone whispered to my ear that you are not alone" means to some people that this person that moved away already found a replacement. Wanda and Vivian portrays two different meanings for effect. Wanda with long hair was born deaf. Vivian, the blonde, is hard of hearing. They met at a state school for the deaf back in the cool '60s. Both can speak, dance and wear hearing aids. They married hearing men. Wanda is divorced. Three times. Vivian still married to the same one man over 40 years.
